| I have a number of players I would like to see improve in tackling, but I am at a loss at how to most efficiently do this. I assumed it could be set in 'Individual Training', but I do not see a "tackling" option. Is it handled by 'Attack/Defense' team training? |

I may be mis-remembering but Mac has always been of the belief that you cannot train on how to tackle.
However, tackling can improve, I believe, by training pace/aggression. I think the thinking is if you teach the player to be more aggressive, then his tackling will improve simply because he will be attempting more tackles.
I assume that after watching his beloved Man Utd with so many prima donnas who didn't like getting their kits dirty (that's rigth Becks, I mean you), Mac figured tackling was something you were either born able to do or not.
Of course, he may be right about it and I am pretty sure that the pace/aggression training is what you are looking for.
Hope that helps. |

Yes, that's it. There's no specific training for tackling but it is emphasised by pace/aggression so if you train for that then it will improve a player's tackling.
General training can also increase skills across the board so tackling will will improve there but at a slower rate than specific training (true for all skills). _________________ Author of SaaP |
